While the Nintendo Switch 2 might not be getting the latest Tomb Raider games we could well receive the rest of the survivor trilogy on the platform. Aspyr, who ported Tomb Raider Definitive Edition to the Nintendo Switch 2, was asked in a recent interview whether we could see Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider ported over to the platform. The company remained tight lipped when asked, but basically said that we shouldn’t rule anything out.
This game kicked off the Tomb Raider “Survivor” trilogy, so we need to ask the obvious question – is Aspyr interested in bringing over Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider to Nintendo platforms as well?
We have definitely seen this question! We’ve successfully brought back the classic era (I-VI) and now the ‘origin story’ of Lara Croft to modern Nintendo platforms. We can’t announce anything at the moment but the passionate response to this release is strong encouragement for us to continue exploring those possibilities.
Thanks to Jamie for sending in the news tip!

Oh they’re totally gonna come lol
What happened to the KOTOR remake?
The Switch 2 port is really really bad next to other versions of the game.
I actually wonder if one of the reason why they’re tight-lipped is because porting the old games is training for them to port one of the two announced ones to Seitch 2 when they come out.
