It seems as though the cat is out of the bag when it comes to the new project at Toys for Bob as one of the developer’s has revealed on LinkedIn that the company has been working on a new Spyro the Dragon game. Donald Yatomi, one of the developers at the company, says he had been working on the project since last year. The company has yet to officially announce what’s next for the studio, but it seems this is it.

People want things to be good also no one said anything about politics just keep projecting thats all you do and continue to be miserable. If anything is deemed conservative in the future gaming wise you better avoid it. I swear you 40 year olds are what ruined gaming. Dyc I totally agree, I’m a huge Spyro and Crash lover but Toys for Bob and their feminist/ Lesbian Tawna was just awful. The rest of the designs were terrible as well honestly. Not to mention that absolutely cringe non binary Cat Bat character they made up, glad that game flopped.
I see the crazies above mad. People like the franchise for what it is they don’t want bad changes if anyrhing gameplay improvements not ugly redesigns. Crash N Burn should have been made look that test footage up actually looked good.
Meanwhile the first Playstation had 3 Spyros under one concole. Back then when one Spyro was done they immediately started the next Spyro. Back then develoeprs goals were to get as many games under one umbrella before the PS2 came out. So after this Spyro is finished and they got started right away on the next one, consumers will give. Up over $1000 to play it. Buy a PS7, buy a $80 game and unlock all the bells and whistles to play stuff only on DLC
Most people are not going to buy consoled outside the older crowd and mostly fanboys. Current gaming is so different only company that successfully does things the old way somewhat is Nintendo. I don’t think people will buy PS6 in large compared to 5 after this gen also most kids and 20 year olds are on PC or Switch. 40 year old stunted derranged lunatics are the only ones buying consoles and traditional game releases. Most people just play Fortnite, Roblox, Genshin, Minecraft no one is really buying a new console to play those.

The Activision team should have been put in charge given their success prior. Honestly if they want to turn it around they need to get with the times and dump the activists. Xbox I assume is a charity case DEI program. I don’t think TFB should have redesigned Crash or Coco but the the game was pretty great.

I’d love to have a new game for Spyro and Crash, but not by Toys for Bob. I absolutely hated their take on the series, not excited if they are actually making more games for them. Bring back Vicarious Visions, loved the Gba Crash games + Nitro Kart and the N sane trilogy.
I wish they were handed THPS 3+4 to remake also Underground, Banjo, Tenchu, Conker, Kameo, Blinx, True Crime, Prototype, Magatama, Phantom Dust, Mech Assault, all that stuff should be handed to them for remakes.
I’m both surprised and not surprised they are making another Spyro game. We’ll see how it turns out but I’m hopeful.
