Toys For Bob has since become their own independent studio, but they are widely credited for bringing back Spyro and Crash Bandicoot during the studio’s time at Microsoft. However, Toys For Bob isn’t done with wanting to bring back Xbox franchises yet. There are still more video gaming franchises that they want to revive with a new game.
In fact, the studio also wants to bring back Banjo-Kazooie. Toys for Bob co-studio head and creative director Paul Yan spoke about it in an interview with YouTuber CanadianGuyEh, saying that “one company we’d like to work with is one we’re already working with–Team Xbox! They’ve been a great partner and they also have a very interesting roster of characters that Toys for Bob could have a lot of fun with. The honey bear is the first one that comes to mind–I think we can all agree Banjo’s been hibernating long enough, right”?

I would love that but I don’t know how well it will fair as collectathons aren’t popular in this day and age and few come out unscathed. Would be dope otherwise.
So what game would YOU rather play then? Because I would very well like to play a 3D platformer, rather than start a new save file for a game I already beat.
Sorry, it’s been a rough week in the internet. Misread your comment.
The N64 era was the peak of my interest in games. I had a GameCube and an Xbox 360 with a few titles each, but I mostly fell off because they stopped making games like that. I’m not sure who coined the term “collectathon” (I remember it being used like a slap in the face in the intro to Nuts & Bolts), but those types of games have always been my main interest. They had incredible atmosphere, world-building, characters, and storytelling. N64 games in particular had an air of mystery that I still can’t quite put my finger on.
YES PLEASE
Won’t happen.
They did a fine job with Crash and Spyro a few years back (barring the thing about physical versions of the Spyro trilogy only having a third of the game on it, requiring the other third to be downloaded separately and effectively making un-updated copies unplayable once the digital stores go down, but I digress), I think they can be trusted with a Banjo-Kazooie/Tooie revamp.
Banjo-Kazo-uology (a play on “Kazooie” and “duology” for the two N64 classics), if you will.
Yes please!!!!!!
I would buy this day 1 multiplat from the 3rd party Xbox for my Switch 2 the day it launched if it happened.
Good luck convincing Microsoft. They’ve made it very clear they have no interest despite the popularity of 3D platformers right now. It would be the best time to do it.
Which means they’ll do it in 6 years when the fad ebbs again and layoff whatever team made it.
