The beloved Persona series of video games is currently celebrating its 30th anniversary and all eyes are on Atlus and its plans for the franchise in 2026. A snippet taken from the Asian Google web listing seems to indicate that we should eventually get a look at the long-awaited next game in the Persona series, Persona 6.
“Come celebrate the journey as we usher in the next chapter of the series”
Hopefully it’s good and stays far away from any western woke trends.

So glad Nagoshi left and took staff with him now if only the same could happen with 2000’s era Sonic. Bomb Rush Cyberfunk was JSR for me. If the original Persona creator made a new game would love it he left after 2 and Shoji Meguro who directed many and composed the music left too recently NetEase should throw them a deal to make a new Atlus like game.
All fandoms should be like that the anime fandom especially yet somehow they let woke idiots and normies ruin that. Anime fans used to gatekeep hard and were rabid now look how bad the industry is because it went mainstream. Attack On Titan, MHA, and JJK are not good. Only fandom recently I saw get super defensive was the Dead Or Alive community and credit to them, people should buy Ninja Gaiden 4 if you don’t like woke that’s the game problem is ir flopped so they might get worse again since Koei Tecmo went the censorship route before.
I agree DC it’s so bad marvel too normies ruined it the comics turned to trash animation too and Snyder bros ruined DC same way MCU stans did Marvel they do not understand it and just want their nostalgia trash or bad directors who don’t read comics, Gunn and Nolan are the same as Snyder no understanding. These things need to go back to being niche weirdly enough back then more was produced and of higher quality unlike now for everything think about it comics, manga, cartoons, anime, gaming. This generation is reminding me of the PS3 generation GTA coming out at the end of the gen, Persona probably being cross gen and also end of gen, Kingdom Hearts skipping the gen. Just awful thought we would finally get PS2 nostalgia that wave of games instead we got trash! Horrible generation! PS6 is coming 2027 for sure.
This gen was just trash glad I skipped on it. In terms of Persona I feel I got in at the right time you need to be a teen, pre teen or young adult to like it if you are older you won’t click either the characters. Honestly do wish anime and these games would do adult characters instead of only highschoolers weirdly enough anime used too have more adult make leads in shonen manga and anime. Heck make harem comedy series about adult man and adult women would sell better. Cobra was kind of that and Golden Boy somewhat, Lupin was super suave and Golgo13 too.
