Sonic Boom developer has been shut down

Sanzaru Games, the developer behind Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal on Nintendo 3DS and Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice on Nintendo 3DS, has now been shut down by Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp company, Meta. The team at Sanzaru Games, were working on VR games for Meta and joined Armature Studio and Twisted Pixel, who were also unfortunately shuttered. The big tech company said the following:

“We said last month that we were shifting some of our investment from Metaverse toward Wearables. This is part of that effort, and we plan to reinvest the savings to support the growth of wearables this year.”

      1. Thank you! Yes it is weird! Also more reason why she and Sonic who is way above 12 should not be a couple! A fan girl fine but not serious. I hate the people mostly political who try and push that relationship and feel Amy should be retooled they hate Ken Penders too but weirdly seem to agree with him on this and his politics. Ian Flynn pushes it too big reason why he should not be in charge of Sonic lore most his stuff is sexual things with characters since his Archie days and his weird fan comics, funny Penders was the same just not a SonAmy shipper.

    1. You ain’t gonna get much in the way of sexiness anymore, those days are over. Look what they did to Lola Bunny in the Space Jam sequel.. A slightly less sexy looking Rouge is the best we’re gonna get.

It’s woke or broke these days.

Actually it’s surprising that they haven’t axed Rouge completely like they did with Minerva and the nurse in Animaniacs.

      1. Kind of have they do not want her in the movies supposedly. Ian Flynn and Aaron Webber ruined Sonic more wish Shiro Maekawa was back as head writer or even new people who get the shonen tone Sonic had.

    1. That sucks, I mean I know it wasn’t ever going to happen, but their Sly Cooper game was so great. Another entry would e been great.

Sucks that they sold out to Meta.

      1. Numerous studios need to make money somehow and selling is the only option. Now they can’t even sell not enough people to buy them. China is not as interested, Microsoft may only want big publishers, and I think the Saudi’s will go after more Japanese publishers in the future they’ve said they’ll expand there. Meta also owned Ready At Dawn who made the Jak game also closed now, they bought Armature a studio founded by the original founder of Retro and director of the old Metroid Prime games they were also part of this wave of closings, Twisted Pixel who Microsoft used to own got bought by Meta and now also part of this wave of closures. Things have not been paying off and the gaming bubble for companies and investors is not there anymore at least for starting from the ground up Meta and Amazon are examples of that. It’s weird to me Sony never bought them and now they may not pursue acquisitions too because Jim Ryan went on a buying spree now most of those studios he bought are closed and he spent billions on Bungie and that has not paid off same with Jade Raymond and other live service projects or wasting money on Kojima.

      1. Bro just ignore them just some stunted adult with mental and emotional issues. All they do is complain and annoy everyone. Honestly watch it be a 40 year old tranny.

      2. I feel it has the nostalgia should have been catered to on PS4 now it feels too late for a lot of this stuff most people have moved on same goes for everything in entertainment they choose to just make bad choices not understand nostalgia waves and the younger generation. Despite what Herman said I don’t know who makes a Sly or Jak game now and even worse on PS6 just feels like more talk meanwhile he gave Kojima more money for another game and movie directing job.

    2. It’s true funny when I was a kid they attacked us for liking Shadow and Silver as characters but they are complete freaks and they were adults mocking kids, calling it “dark and edgy” like it’s slander but they became degenerates like Chris Chan and worse all of them now pushing 50.

  1. The original studio who made the first 2 games is still open Big Red Button founded by former Crash bandicoot creator. Bob Rafei, I say give that man a team at Activision Vicarious Visions to bring back Crash and Spyro, his canceled project Crash N Burn looked cool.
