Rumour: The Rayman remake is apparently a Rayman Legends remake

Ubisoft apparently has two Rayman projects in development one is a remake or remaster of an undisclosed Rayman game and the other is a brand new project. Now an apparent Ubisoft insider has stated that the next Rayman game “isn’t all that new “and “will disappoint everyone upon its announcement.” A user then asks the leaker whether it is a remake of the 2013 game Rayman Legends, to which the leaker replied with the eyes emoji. Tom Henderson from Insider Gaming then weighed in and asked whether they were talking about the new Rayman game or the remake/remaster. The insider then said “I have only heard about one Rayman project which, depending on player feedback/hype, will trigger the development of the second one. But perhaps I don’t have all the information.” All will hopefully become clear soon, we hope.

  1. That’s so disappointing and lazy if true. I’m not interested in this at all as I played the original to death and don’t see what they can add to make this worthwhile. Sounds like we’re still going to be in the dark age of Rayman for a while yet

  2. This cannot possibly be true, a remake that everyone wants gets cancelled and then a remake that just doesn’t seem right or needed happens from ubisoft.
I would imagine that one of the earlier 16 bit raymans will get the remake treatment, not legends

  3. Completely nonsensical, then again it’s Ubisoft.

Remaking a game that DOESN’T need a remake while ignoring the very first one (who aged extremely badly) or the second one (that could be greatly expanded and benefit from modern technology and QoL features) is something that Ubisoft would do.

  4. I refused to buy that game when they decided to delay the Wii U release so it could launch simultaneously on all platforms (it was a Wii U exclusive at first). It was a real blow to the software drought of that first year of Wii U and I decided to be petty and not buy it.

    1. Wii U was so disappointing as a console.. barely any more powerful than 360 and came out just before next gen consoles which blew past it. Not only that but they screwed up most of the games on it and left great franchises abandoned.

  5. The rumor about a Rayman Legends remake is definitely sparking mixed reactions. While it’s a masterpiece, many fans were hoping for a remake of the original titles instead! Since I spend so much time following these gaming leaks, an online screen testing tool saves me time every week by ensuring my monitor is perfectly adjusted

  6. Mina The Hollower now has an estimated release date of 2030 in the eShop. I heard Yacht Club Games was struggling lately, but to cause a game like this to be pushed back 4 years? What’s going on?
