Video: Virtual Boy Nintendo Classics launches 17th February

Nintendo has revealed a lot more about the upcoming Virtual Boy collection which will be part of the Nintendo Classics range when it launches on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on 17th February. The lineup of Virtual Boy games is a nice eclectic mix of released games such as Wario Land and 3D Tetris alongside some unreleased titles such as Zero Racer and D-Hopper.   1. When they took off the Red Lens Filter from the headset, it looks like a LABO VR headset with a Virtual Boy design, which does make me wonder if Nintendo is planning to bring back VR functionality to the Switch 2 seeing how it has better performance than the Switch

      1. Yeah but let’s be honest here, how much extra would it have cost at the time to have a color screen?

        I mean Game Boy was alright. But we all know they could’ve given even that a full color screen too. It’s Nintendo’s way of cheaping out.

        Virtual Boy might have been at least mildly successful even if it had a bunch of colors. At least anything more than just red and black!

        Cheaping out is a running theme for Nintendo.

        1. Yeah honestly, you’re right on that end. They could’ve made the colors not monotone and with actual color palettes. I don’t think we would see very many complaints about the virtual boy collection if that was done.
