Dispatch on Nintendo Switch is censored

The well-received superhero workplace comedy Dispatch is censored on the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 and the developers say they worked alongside Nintendo to ensure it met the Kyoto-based company’s criteria. The developers say that the “core narrative and gameplay experience remains identical” in Dispatch, but clearly there have been some omissions from the PlayStation 5 and PC versions.

“Different platforms have different content criteria, and submissions are evaluated individually,” AdHoc said in a statement shared with Eurogamer, ahead of Dispatch’s Switch release. The studio assured, though, that the censorship on Nintendo’s consoles does not affect Dispatch’s overall narrative experience or gameplay.

“We worked with Nintendo to ensure the content within the title met the criteria to release on their platforms, but the core narrative and gameplay experience remains identical to the original release,” the developer stated.

    1. Haven’t played either for various reasons but does Cyberpunk have sex scenes? My assumption would be the sex scenes could be the issue if not then it is weird?

      1. It does. Cyberpunk has several sex scenes, full frontal nudity in places, ads that moan in your ear, middle fingers and enough cursing to make Satan blush.

  1. Weird. “Game” is trash if you can call it that. Just bad millennial writing meets parody superhero and 80s music. Who actually thought this was good? Moistshitikal is in it too 🤮

      1. No this is not for actual men. Its for millennial soytards and women especially women they loved it and streamers because it’s not game in terms of gameplay just a interactive movie and super cringe trying to be edgy weird given the people that make it say everything is racist but this game just weird the black guy talks super stereotypical Jeffrey Wright can not complain again after taking this role same for whoever voiced the polynesian guy. Allanah pearce was awful, Moist is bad but she is worse and the game is making her feel herself more. If you are curious watch cutscenes online.

  2. The fact they can’t even be bothered to tell what’s changed makes me think it’s less of a Nintendo thing and more of an AdHoc thing. As people stated, there are plenty of worse games (regarding risky content) on Nintendo platforms, be it excessive violence and gore (lol RE:9 is coming next month), sensual/sexual content (Cyberpunk 2077, Lollipop Chainsaw, etc) and sensitive content in general.
