The official website for Pokemon’s 30th Anniversary opens

The Pokemon Company has opened up the official website to celebrate Pokemon’s 30th Anniversary with the tag line reading What’s your favourite? featuring a lovely montage of various Pokemon depicted in different art styles. There are also various celebrities on the site including K-Pop idols, musicians and athletes who reveal their favourite Pokemon. You can also take a picture and share your Pokemon 30th anniversary snapshot using the popular iOS and Android app Pokemon GO.

      1. Currently playing Pokémon Lazarus and it’s a ton of fun, pokèmon is too good of a franchise to just abandon it. All they need to do is put effort for the next game and I’m content

        1. I’ve had Lazarus downloaded but haven’t played it yet. It looks pretty good.

The best we will get is probably romhacks and Pokemon-inspired games like Palworld. From what I understand, Gamefreak is still somewhat archaic in it’s development process and gear. It probably won’t change until maybe most the veterans retire or if the next gen sells poorly. Beyond that, I’m sure they see it as “Why fix what isn’t broken?”

    1. I thought Gen 8 was pretty good personally, the wild area was unnecessary, but it had some cool designs and good flow otherwise (and gyms being huge stadium spectacles was neat). 9 is pretty bad though. I just need a Gen 5 remake!
