Digital Foundry: Resident Evil Requiem on Nintendo Switch 2 is native 540p upscaled to 1080p

Capcom has unleashed DLSS upscaling to make Resident Evil Requiem shine on the Nintendo Switch 2. Digital Foundry have analysed the Nintendo Switch 2 version and the native resolution is a mere 540p which uses DLSS to upscale it to 1080p. The main issue is with the framerate which the Nintendo Switch 2 seems to struggle with at times during intense sequences, though it is the weaker of the consoles, so it shouldn’t be massively surprising. Overall though, Capcom seems to have to produced a very impressive port. You can see Digital Foundry’s full verdict in the video down below.

  1. For anyone still trying to get the Generations Pack that’s out of stock everywhere, it’s currently in stock at Books A Million!!!!~ Unfortunately you’ll have to pay $5 for shipping, but it is in stock!!~

    1. The game really is looking excellent, and isn’t it great to see Switch 2 receiving a current-gen port with same day release. That did not happen very often for Switch for AAA games at all, and when it did, the ports were nearly all a whole lot ropy than this (PS4 ports on Switch way worse than PS5 ports on Switch 2). DLSS is truly a hero for low-powered hardware like this.
