Pokémon Game Music Collection releases today from Pokémon Center

During today’s Pokémon Presents presentation, The Pokémon Company announced a “Game Music Collection” device in the shape of a Nintendo Game Boy. Available to order directly from the Pokémon Center in the UK, US, and Canada starting today, 27th February 2026, The Game Music Collection includes 45 cartridges you can swap out to play different songs from the classic Pokémon Red and Blue games.

    1. I’d understand if there was a red and a blue, maybe a yellow, but each individual song on a cartridge is… Frankly asinine.

Or is this because all the bigger memory chips went to A.I. gluttony?

      1. I really doubt that. If anything, this increases the production costs to make all those carts that will just have assumingly one game boy track.

The only stab in the dark I can make is they want to sell gen 2 carts in the future and they’ll be like special product or maybe sold randomly in “booster packs”. Idk it’s more baffling than Nintendo rereleasing the Virtual Boy
