Next wave of Kirby Air Riders amiibo revealed

Just last week, Kirby Air Riders was updated to add support for the next wave of amiibo: Meta Knight (& Shadow Star), King Dedede (& Tank Star), and Chef Kawasaki (& Hop Star). At the time, we only had the release date for Meta Knight, 5th March, but Nintendo has now confirmed that King Dedede will launch on 2nd July. While we still don’t have a date for Chef Kawasaki, a new wave of two more Kirby Air Riders amiibo have been announced: Sword Kirby (& Dragoon) and Noir Dedede (& Hydra).

For those who don’t know, if you purchase more than one of these amiibo, they have the special function for you to physically swap the character and vehicle combo, affecting how it appears in-game. While pricing for the latest wave hasn’t been announced in the west, reservations have begun in Japan directly from the My Nintendo Store, and they’re priced a bit higher than the previous figures in the series. All the upcoming Kirby Air Riders amiibo are as follows:

Meta Knight (& Shadow Star) – Available today
King Dedede (& Tank Star) – 2nd July 2026
Chef Kawasaki (& Hop Star) – 2026
Sword Kirby (& Dragoon) – TBD
Noir Dedede (& Hydra) – TBD

  1. I’m so happy… I can’t believe we’re actually getting a Dragoon amiibo… omg… I love collecting these amiibo and I’m so excited to buy these as they come out!!! A full set is probably going to look just so genuinely beautiful omg… Kirby Air Riders might actually be my favorite Switch 2 game
