The Nintendo Switch 2 got a rather nice firmware update last night which introduced the handheld boost mode feature for original Nintendo Switch games when played on the newer system. YouTube channel Good Vibes Gaming has been taking a look at the system update and have discovered that one other thing which has been improved is the Gamechat feature which is set to become paywalled behind a Nintendo Switch Online subscription from the beginning of next month. Holy crap, watching this video is just crazy seeing the difference. From what I remember, gamechat was pretty choppy back then, but now it looks great!!
Oh that’s great… too bad nobody else i know owns a Switch 2 yet…
I noticed Cyberpunk runs smoother after the console update, which is very welcome. Much more stable frame rate when driving around the city.
I guess if it’s gonna be locked behind the NSO paywall now, it’s good that it got the upgrade- makes it feel more worth it.
Not that I’ve used GameChat- I have very few friends and only one of them has a Switch 2 but his job and new baby keep him busy.
