UK: Nintendo Switch 2 sales jumped 154% in March month-on-month following Pokemon Pokopia

UK video game journalist Christopher Dring has shared news about the Nintendo Switch 2‘s success following the release of the popular Pokemon Pokopia video game. Dring says that Nintendo Switch 2 UK sales managed to jump around 154% in March month-on-month following the release of Pokemon Pokopia. He went on to say that Nintendo accounts for over 50% of all consoles sold in the UK so far this year. However, Dring mentioned that there is one small caveat in the fact that March has been a five-week month, whereas February was a four-week month.

  1. Hey, I predicted this would happen! But I need to wait fully to see the march sales of the console and games to confirm my prediction.

  2. But all the sources say Nintendo is doing bad especially in the UK. Almost like they want to spin false narratives. Anyone buying a PS5 and still defending Sony has to be a moron the console has no games and GTA 6 looks like millennial slop.

    1. Dude, I know you always change your name by spamming your keyboard. Just pick a name when you want to ragebait people.

    2. Meanwhile you’re spinning a false narrative here by saying PS5 has no games. Granted it did give PC several big titles, but it factually does have exclusives and is gaining more this year. As for GTA, only casuals and hoodrats like R*, real gamers have taste and stay away from trash made by the worst developer in the industry. You want a console with no games? That’s Xbox. Their last exclusive was in 2015 and they went 3rd party in 2017, and yet somehow the very small amount of people who still buy that worthless box think it has value. PC also doesn’t have any worthwhile/notable exclusives, its biggest games have to be given to it and the PC crowd still doesn’t buy them, which is why Sony is thankfully going back to highly pro-consumer exclusives. Switch 2 is also the fastest selling console in history, it’s doing quite well, but like any console it’s going to ebb and flow.

      1. Why don’t we use intelligence for this instead of fear mongering? PS5 has been put for 6 years now, sales should be tapering off regardless of price. If you don’t already have one, and wanted one… Why did you wait? $500 isn’t expensive, and you could have done monthly payments through PlayStation Direct if you didn’t want to drop it all at once. I wouldn’t dare think about buying a console 6 years into its lifespan, you’re behind the times. Just wait for the next iteration and you can pick up everything you missed at a great discount as well as enjoy a new slate of games.
