Nintendo has devised a new initiative for using the Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive feature GameChat. You can now earn 100 My Nintendo Platinum Points by hopping into GameChat to spend on a variety of user icons. This promotion is available until 22nd April and it should be noted that you need a Nintendo Switch Online membership to use GameChat now that the free trial period is over.

If you don’t mind me asking, why not just use Discord? I’ve not personally found a reason to use game chat over Discord.
Oh, the screen sharing is the best part of GameChat! (especially after the most recent update!)
Before this we were actually looking into getting a capture card to play non-multiplayer games together (bit of physical distance at the moment), so we were both overjoyed the Switch 2 launched with the most specific solution to our niche problem haha
Plus, it’s perfect to see each other’s screens while playing games together :)
That’s actually really sweet. The one time I’ve used game chat was when an old high school friend and I were both online at the same time and he invited me to join a call with him. We played Mario Kart World for a bit together. That was nice.
