NateTheHate: Star Fox will be announced this month through Nintendo Today or X

All eyes are on Nintendo to unveil the rumoured The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake and the new Star Fox game for the Nintendo Switch 2. The original source of the rumour, NateTheHate, has clarified on X that the Star Fox revival will be announced this month either via the Nintendo Today app for iOS and Android or the company’s official X account.

“I said StarFox will be announced this month via Nintendo Today or Twitter.”

        1. Lmao, people can go to any post on this site and see what a cringe loser you are so. Mic has been called out dozens of times on this site for getting triggered and mad at any comment they don’t like, and defending Nintendo like it’s the Pope. Also people who know Mic personally have brought up he never showers.

Sadly a lot of them on this site get mad. They all come across as loserd like 40 year olds that only know how to consume product and defend company or whatever they’re told to the current thing. It’s very sad and they seem braindead.

        1. Said no one ever. We don’t even know if there’s an actual Star Fox being made. NTH gets many things right but he also gets things wrong. Even if he is right, there’s a world of difference between announcing something and extensively detail it.

          1. Most likely scenario is that they’re readying themselves for the next phase on their new console. They did launch a fair bit of first-party content but they also let third-parties go wild. Some, like Capcom, Sega and Square took advantage of that window, while others didn’t. From June on, they’ll start announcing a ton of first-party content. 2027 will already have the new Pokémon and, probably, the new 3D Mario, which are the biggest powerhouses that any third-party released at the same time won’t be able to compete with.

Plus most announced titles are either out or will be soon. Tomodachi Life will release this month, with Yoshi in May. After that, it’ll be unknown territory.

            1. That’s true- I’m pretty sure the only other thing from Nintendo themselves that we know about for 2026 is Splatoon Raiders (which, I’ll remind everyone, has had no news on it since its reveal last year). Nintendo needs to come out swingin’ by this summer.

    1. Max Dood and Ed Boon as usual lying trying to spin MK1 as a success. MK11 sold 10 million at full price in a year or less meanwhile MK1 sells 8 million after complete edition almost 3 years later. Also DLC cancelled because the previous DLC flopped. Player base is super low and thry blew the budget on expensive guest characters and celebrity likenessess and voiced. Even if someone didn’t voice the character they still have to be paid for likeness and then the IP holders and worse in somecases another party or parties that own that specific version of a character used in the game. No way that game was ever going to be a success it costs too much. Now the stans want MK13 that would flop worse and watch Ed would fight for it he hates DC. If they make Injustice 3 watch him purposely make it bad with bald black movie Jade, Johnny Cage and Scorpion as guests for spite he did it with Injustice 2 having 2 MK guests and skipped Injustice 3 for MK1 on purpose there was no rights issue. He-Man will be a guest too because he wasted money on that license as well. Back when AT&T owned WB they were going to keep MK when they wanted to sell the gaming division so the claim NRS made MK1 because they wouldn’t get to continue Injustice if they were sold was a lie. Same way Ed claims a 7 year gap for MK games would have been bad so they made MK1 is a lie because now Injustice has a near 10 year gap and loss of Kevin Conroy also he said no 4 year wait between games again also a lie.

    1. There’s no reason to have a Direct right now when we just had one a few weeks ago. Plus they’re getting already announced titles like Tomodachi Life and Yoshi and the Mysterious Book out of the way first. I, for one, am grateful if we don’t have another general Direct showing these titles plus Pragmata. I’d rather have a Direct entirely comprised of unnanounced titles. Sure, if Star Fox does get announced, it’ll be at the next Direct but, at least, it’ll be properly shown there.

  1. I am the only human on earth to use nintendo today daily, so I would be happy to wake up and see star fox.

  2. The latest Star Fox was a failure, I would be surprised if Nintendo releases one anytime soon… moreover, announcing a new game via an app or on Twitter is kind of ridiculous…

I’m sorry, but just because Nate says it doesn’t mean it’s true, I feel like he has just developed an obsession with the fact that Fox appears in the latest Mario movie….

    1. The latest Star Fox was released almost 10 years ago (it was released on April 21) so it does make sense for them to make another attempt now, especially taking after his apparition in the latest Mario movie. Moreover, it’s far from “ridiculous” to announce a new game via Nintendo Today when it’s made specifically for things like announcements as well. We did have some announcements via NT.

Also people are still forgetting that, just because something gets announced outside a Direct (Nintendo don’t restrict themselves to Directs, contrary to what most think), that doesn’t mean they’ll make an extensive announcement. If a Star Fox gets announced soon, you’ll bet they’ll leave for a Direct to properly cover it.

      1. I don’t believe it, and for several reasons… if Nintendo were to announce a game on an app or a social network, it would be for the NSO, and in this case it will probably be Star Fox Adventure… if there is a new Star Fox, it would rather be via a Direct (that’s even certain).

But once again: I don’t believe in a new Star Fox, the last one dates back 10 years for sure, but it was a severe failure, and we know that Nintendo is reluctant to try again a game that did not do well or did very poorly.

  3. Nate please update on Kingdom Hearts 4. Crazy Star Fox in a Mario movie and getting a new game before Kingdom Hearts 4 even more crazy Grand Theft Auto 6 will probably be out before too.
