The team at Playtonic are seemingly teasing a 60fps update for the well-received Yooka-Replaylee on the Nintendo Switch 2. One of the main criticisms of the Nintendo Switch 2 version was that it ran at 30fps, when it could have been 60fps. This could be set to change as a patch looks set to be released imminently. People are saying on social media that the patch could release as soon as tomorrow, but we will have to wait and see.

it’s about time!
I think i’m gonna buy the game then. I did skip it because of 30 FPS and then just played all the other great S2 games in 60 FPS which should be standard for such platformer games in 2025/26.
I’ve got too many games to catch up with to give a game a go that treated the Switch as an after thought.
