ComicBook recently caught up with Final Fantasy VII Remake series director, Naoki Hamaguchi, to ask him a number of questions including about how development on the eagerly-anticipated Final Fantasy VII Remake Part Three is proceeding. Hamaguchi said that development for the third title is actually both “on time and on schedule” meaning that everything is currently going to plan with its development.
What can you tease about that next entry in the trilogy?
Naoki Hamaguchi: I’m unable to share concrete details at this time. What I can say is that development itself is proceeding on time and on schedule. We believe it’ll become a title we can deliver with confidence as the culmination of the trilogy. We know many fans are eagerly waiting, and preparations toward the announcement are steadily underway. Please look forward to it just a little longer.

I remember posting here years ago that we most likely wouldn’t see the trilogy come to fruition until 2028. And a few clowns argued with me that it wouldn’t take that long 😂 well 2027 is pretty damn close, and I would still argue that it’s getting delayed to 2028 🤣
Ugh is your pfp Ryu? So dang cool if so
Yup, the one from BoF4 though.
My man! I loved BoF 1, 3 and 4 back in the day. 3 and 4 are so often overlooked when talking about great PS1 RPGs. A real shame.
I tried the demo for rebirth and I was so impressed with how it performed on the switch 2. The visuals look very similar to PS5 and the framerate is pretty stable with some dips. This port honestly gave me hope for more third party ports in the future.
Ugh, FF7R part 3, (aka, third time they made you pay for a single game that they split into 3 games just to make you pay 3x what it is worth and online clowns are happy about it. hahaha pathetic.) it’s like, who gives a F anymore? Besides fanboys, of course. FF just needs to go away, hasn’t been any good since Yoshi-P was allowed to backstab Tanaka and steal his FFXIV, of which is now unplayable garbage with a beyond terrible story, of which they charge you to skip. It’s the perfect scam, they made the story in Yoshi-P’s stolen ffxiv so terrible that it actually causes severe gamer rage, so they charge you money to skip the story. Kinda genius if you think about it, make the story beyond terrible so people will pay to not have to pay it. Why pay? Cause if you don’t play the story, you can’t go to other areas, even if you own the expansion they are on until you finish the story, hence forcing you to pay to enjoy the game you already own… Evil geniuses.
