They were never close to broke. They have billions of dollars in reserve. If they discontinued the Nintendo Switch 2 and released the Virtual Boy 2 next year as their flagship console (AND it ends up selling less than the Virtual Boy did), they would still be in business. They’d just have a reputation to salvage.
