SEGA has announced it has teamed up with Good Smile for a figure based on the retro Sonic the Fighters video game. A release date for the Sonic the Fighters figure has yet to be announced by either company but it will join the Pop Up Parade line of figures. You can check it out down below.

Awesome. Maybe they’ll do all 12 characters (including Metal Sonic, Eggman, Honey, and RoboEgg).
With Sega still willing to acknowledge their Saturn era, I wonder if they’d ever be willing to make SGL open source and public domain. I imagine it would make it a lot easier for Sega to market a new Saturn rerelease if the homebrew community has free reign to make whatver they want for it. Plus, they get free developers.

THIS LOOKS SO DOPE! I can’t wait to pose him next to mine – I made my own line of articulated STF and SonicR figures because I honestly didn’t think SEGA would ever make them. Right now Bean and Metal Knuckles (he is the most popular one on my shop) are my fave. I’m excited to see how this statue looks and if they will do the whole cast.
