IGN is reporting that Rockstar Games highly regarded Red Dead Redemption 2 has now overtaken the iconic Wii Sports in the best-selling video games list. Wii Sports was the third best-selling video game but has now slipped to fourth and Red Dead Redemption 2 is at No.3. Wii Sports sold a total of 83 million and Red Dead Redemption 2 has now sold 85 million and has sold more copies in the last year than in any 12-month period since its launch year back in 2018.

- Grand Theft Auto V: 255 million copies
- Red Dead Redemption 2: 85 million
- Wii Sports: 83 million

I’ve actually never even played it 😅 I’m almost 40 so I figure I’ll just ride it out at this point and remain the only gamer who isn’t initiated.

I’m afraid if I got into it, I would get too into it. Plus, I did play Dragon Quest Builders 2 and something like that was more my speed tbh.

I’ve seen the amazing worlds that some people have created, and although they’re insanely jaw dropping, one of the first questions I go to is “how many hours did you put into this” it’s always an absurd amount.
I had the Alpha, but it didn’t get transferred or anything to the end game, so I don’t have it. It’s the only New 3DS Game I don’t have in my collection xP

I tried RDR2, I didn’t like it that much. Did maybe 2 story missions plus wandered around a bit and… it just couldn’t keep my attention.
Meanwhile I played Wii Sports bowling for about half an hour not even a month ago, just felt like kicking back with some casual game time- almost 20 years later, that game still has a hell of a pull that transcends 3-going-on-4 console gens.
