Bloomberg is reporting that Nintendo has raised its Nintendo Switch 2 sales forecast by around 20% as it looks to manufacturer more Nintendo Switch 2 consoles in order to meet the demand it’s currently expecting. There’s some heavy hitters on the horizon including Star Fox and the rumoured The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake, which is expected to launch later this year. Bloomberg says that a Nintendo spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment on the production volume plan.
“For them, there is no real downside in lowballing numbers first and then surpassing them later,” said Tokyo-based industry analyst Serkan Toto. “The just-finished fiscal year is a good example.”
Thanks to Edward B for sending in the news tip!

I can’t wait until December and the articles here still say “…and the rumored Ocarina of Time remake that’s supposed to come out…”
I was just about to say it: Where and when was the OoT remake OFFICIALLY announced???
Something Zelda will be announced and now that the obligatory Warriors style game has come and gone I’m excited to see just what they’ve had brewing aside from a main series game and warriors spin off stuff (assuming a mainline isn’t hitting this year)
I am glad to see the Switch 2 do well overall. I have really enjoyed mine since launch day. But, Nintendo also needs some heavy hitting news in June with a proper Direct on game releases coming and release them soon. It is quite obvious Pokemon Legends Z-A is done with content. They put only 7 megastones behind the online requirement and stopped handing those out. The Seasons online are pointless now and the rewards are meaningless. The DLC flopped overall for everyone with the massive grind it threw at you. They are done with that game now until Winds and Waves releases. Star Fox is already getting sort of slammed for having another remake of a previous version from the N64. Splatoon Raiders is only single player and not your run of the mill Splatoon game. Mario Kart World has had no significant update since launch day and is still not an 80 dollar game. We need a proper Zelda and Mario game before the end of the year. Whatever else comes after that will be langniappe.
Uhh, didn’t Mario kart world get its latest update in march which added a new battle mode?
Marc is clueless
