After a week full of rumors and leaks, Rayman Legends: Retold has now been officially announced. The remake of the excellent Ubisoft platformer launches for Nintendo Switch 2 on 1st October 2026. A Game-Key Card physical release has also been confirmed and includes Rayman Origins Enhanced, a remastered version of Rayman Origins.
Led by Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Milan Rayman Legends Retold builds on the charm of the original 2013 game, now brought to life with stunning 3D visuals, a brand-new story and fully voiced cinematics. Players can join Rayman, Globox, Barbara, Grand Minimus, and Murphy on a new adventure to restore peace to the Glade of Dreams, threatened by a shadowy villain spreading chaos across the realms. Playable solo or with up to four players in couch co-op, players can experience iconic fast-paced platforming as they leap, glide, and punch their way through a never-before-seen sixth realm, epic boss battles and worlds filled with hidden Teensies to rescue.
“Rayman Legends Retold is our way of revisiting what makes Rayman so special, and re‑telling that experience for a new generation of players,” said Loïc Gounon, Brand Producer. “We wanted to preserve everything fans love, and Legends gave us the perfect foundation to expand Rayman’s lore, its world logic, and how everything connects together.”
With new and improved gameplay, players can dive into a rich selection of returning levels, take flight on thrilling dragon rides, test their skills in the Cave of Trials, and jam through four all-new musical stages. They will also be able to explore a reimagined Glade of Dreams, now more immersive than ever, featuring new character encounters and surprises around every corner. In addition, Kung Foot returns with improved controls, power-ups, and customizable rules, delivering hours of frenzied competition.
Throughout their journey, players can enjoy an expanded soundtrack that blends fan-favorite original themes with new compositions from acclaimed composers Christophe Héral and Grant Kirkhope.
Rayman Legends Retold will be available at a suggested retail price of $39.99 for the standard edition. Players who pre-order any edition of the game will receive the Hoodlum Havoc Pack, including two costumes for Rayman and Globlox, inspired by Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc.

It looks so good, but so unnessessary.
Again: there was no reason whatsoever it couldn’t have been an entirely new game.
It doesn’t even feel like Rayman Legends.
It’s a launch pad for new Rayman games without Ancel, they want to try a safer option first and if it works, they’ll make an entirely new game.
That excuse doesn’t fly. People were asking for either a new game or a remake of Rayman 2. As much as it looks pretty, it’s not what people asked and I don’t see it selling that well. The original version already didn’t.
I hate this strategy of putting a game or an IP hostage.
Looks good, but the key card thing for this game is a joke.
I’m hoping belmonts curse will be at this state of play, maybe a release date
Looks bland as heck. Might finally pick up Origins and Legends tho.
That was sadly the best thing at this state of play. I am sad we didn’t get to see Sea of Sorrow.
Was it? I’m glad I missed the show
Yep!, no sea of sorrow, no belmonts curse. These were the 2 things I wanted the most to see more of.
Nah, it wasn’t. The show was, surprisingly, fine, better than the other SoPS. Almost no FPS bullshit, lots of action-adventure games, more Tomb Raider, the Kemuri something looked nice, Team Doom looked dope. The new GoW gave me some misgivings but it does look like a good game.
Rayman was just so underwhelming due to being an unnecessary remake.
I know they “nerfed” Barbara but she looks fine in the trailer. That one screenshot was a little concerning because she looked a bit like a child now but she seems fine in the trailer.
Oh wow an actual story and characterization in a Rayman game? I’m kinda surprised but maybe because my expectations were so low.
