The next big Tomb Raider title from Amazon Games, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, has been confirmed for the Nintendo Switch 2. A new trailer for Lara’s Croft’s epic adventure was showcased during today’s Sony’s State of Play event. Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis was previously penciled in for release this year, but to avoid the juggernaut of the new Grand Theft Auto game, it along with other titles has been pushed back to 12th February, 2027.

Does the art there almost look AI generated? It just has that look
I hate that nowadays when I see artwork in a style I’m not used to the first thing I think is “is this AI-generated?” I HATE it.
I don’t want to jump to conclusions here that it is, but the ponytail that looks like it’s part of the backpack is making me raise an eyebrow; it looks off.
It still reads as AI-generated. There are several things in this style that give it away. Even without any explicit AI references, it comes across that way.

i really do despise Nintendo for designing the Key Card. I know this is going to be a Key Card and Large 3rd Party Developers aren’t choosing them for performance or because cartridges are to expensive. If you think Capcom, Sega, Square, and other’s cant afford to make physical physical games or find better alternatives then you are wrong. Corporate suites on top are always going to choose what makes the most money. Again, they don’t even want physical media, they dont even want traditional digital media. They want you to keep paying forever, never own anything, and spend nothing on Physical production. They been slowly phasing out physical media, it’s literally the scam of the century, convincing the masses that Digital is better.
Games not being on the cartridge/media exist way before Game Key Card was a thing. Wolfenstein Youngblood was just a download code, Spyro Reignited Trilogy only had the first game in disc (in ALL versions).
Also it’s funny to see people decrying GKC when it’s transparent that the future of gaming is digital. 42% of Nintendo sales are digital already. In other consoles it’s even bigger. I really want to see if the people who say “I won’t buy more games again if it becomes all digital” will back up that statement later down the line.
inb4 “have fun not owning anything”, you never owned anything in the first place. Every game has pages of contract agreements that you, at least, should read that explicitly states there are things you cannot do. They can block streams based on whatever (usually music or spoilers), some mods can be taken down, you can get a copyright strike, etc.
Unlike you, I’m my own person with a spine and not some online edgelord that constantly worships corporate boot. I stick to what I say. For example, Pokémon used to be my favorite franchise. I said with Sword and Shield that’s I’d Never Purchase Pokémon titles going forward as long as they stayed on that path and that still holds true and don’t worry, I’m not missing out by not purchasing trash.

What does owning two hundred fifty physical Switch games have to do with Key Cards and not buying Pokemon Games. Just be ause I have around two hundred fifty Switch games do you think that means I just buy everything?, last time I checked theres about five thousand different physical Switch Games. Two hundred and fifty is nothing, and I only buy games that I feel that I’d play and enjoy.
There Frost is again, everything is cool until somebody says something negative about a first party Nintendo franchise and then they go replying and attacking again. Really classy Frost. You seem like you have been becoming a lot better recently too but here you are back to your old ways. Somebody says they don’t support Pokémon and you call them names for it.
It hasn’t even been confirmed if it’s going to be game key card. We can only hope it won’t.
I still regret purchasing my Switch 2. I know we all love Nintendo first party games when they are done right, but I did not buy a Switch 2 only for Nintendo games. I know I have said this before on this sight but I really do hate key cards and it so far ruined the entire generation for me. World is my least favorite Mario Kart, Donkey Kong was great but it was just an original switch gane brought to the Switch 2, Same and Prime 4 is playable on the original Switch and while also good, the desert section ruins half the game. Finally 3rd party games, because I only get physical, i have to keep getting original Switch versions of games when I paid about five hundred dollars to play games that could only run on Switch 2 and if there is original Switch version and only a Key card, I’m out of luck.
Ya cry too much if Nintendo didn’t create key cards they would just put a paper in the box
Barely any company did that on the original Switch. Usually the ones that did were from already widely known for putting the consumer last among other negative practices. Companies who cared enough would have made it work. We got the Witcher 3, Doom, and so many “Impossible” ports to the first Switch. Back on Nintendo 64 and GameCube larger games would be out on multiple disks and cartridges. Though now, compressing games are much easier. Indiana jones is around 150GB on other Platforms, Bethesda got it to fit on a 60GB cartridge. I could name many other ways they could get all games physical on Switch 2 as well. Saying They all would just release a code in the box is a lie and the ones that would only git that way due to consumers like you that let them get away with it.

I’d find that more offensive than a game key-card- at least there’s a reason for the box to exist in that case. A case for a download code is just a waste of plastic at that point.
Would you buy a DVD case for a movie you don’t have the disc for, only downloaded? I wouldn’t.
A Game Key Card is worse than a download in the box and is wasting even more plastic and resources because it downloads the game completely from the eshop. It’s a download with extra requirements. Nothing is on the key card, nothing. Yet you need it to play your downloaded games. It combined the worst of all worlds.
