Nintendo has held its question and answer session for shareholders of the Kyoto-based company. One of the questions asked to Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa was whether or not Nintendo DS and Nintendo 3DS games will come to the Nintendo Switch 2 as part of the Nintendo Classics range. Furukawa said he couldn’t answer that question yet but they are preparing to make their full back catalogue available on Nintendo Classics.
Shareholder: Will you make Nintendo DS or 3DS games playable on Switch 2?
Furukawa: I can’t answer your question specifically, but we are working to make our valuable back catalog playable on current hardware wherever possible.

Thanks for trying to help Sickr. Really Sucks that one person is spending their entire life to try to ruin the site though. Is there a way to get rid of the ability to just put anything into the email section? I know that you have the word Press account. I know nothing about Making and updating a Website, but if it were me I’d make it either where you can’t just comment using a email and only can use Word Press or the other commenting methods, or make it where before the comment can be sent that you have to to have a verification email from the site sent to your email and respond to it. Something.
They aren’t going to stop until everyone just ignores them. They feed off the attention. That’s their goal, really. “How many comments can I get on this article from causing drama?” Just pretend they don’t exist and they lose.
Some 3DS games have gotten HD ports.
I really don’t think a lot of DS games are viable. Even on the Wii U, they were a bit messy. It’s not just having two screens and a touch screen, but also the proximity of the two screens. And Nintendo really made use of the two screens. Even for a game like NSMB which should conceivably be no problem to play on Switch would run into the issue of Mario going to the bottom screen when he goes underground.
I really think a lot of the DS/3DS era Nintendo games would just have to be remade for rerelease on modern consoles, unless Nintendo comes out with another DS console in the future.
It depends on the game for DS. I also don’t think NSMB would work well because of the minigames and the bottom screen you mentioned. I feel like DS games would only come over through remasters, not Nintendo switch online.
