Nintendo has updated the charming Yoshi and Mysterious Book on the Nintendo Switch 2 bringing the game to Version 1.0.2. That’s not all as there’s now a demo on the Nintendo eShop and the save data of which can be transferred over to the main game, if you choose to purchase. The new update also fixes some unspecified bugs and should be available now.
Latest update: Ver. 1.0.2 (Released July 8, 2026)
General updates
- It’s now possible to carry over save data from the demo version of Yoshi and the Mysterious Book. You can carry over save data from the demo version by starting up the full retail version (without any save data) of the game.
- Please launch the full retail version of the game after updating to the latest version.
- Other issues were fixed to improve the gameplay experience.
Thanks to Gaga4Yaya for sending in the news tip!

Beat the campaign and 100%’d the first world. Fun little puzzle game. Plan to come back to 100% more later.
I was going to skip this game, because I didn’t love the last two good feel yoshi games and put them both down after just a few hours – but am curious about it.
Looking forward to trying the demo and being able to make an informed decision about it.
Great to see this update! I’ve been playing the demo and really love how cute the character designs are. Honestly, they are so expressive they almost deserve their own kaomoji set. If anyone else is looking for cute emoticons to express their gaming vibes, I’ve been using this site to find some fun ones for my chats.
Awesome news. It’s great to see Nintendo continuing to polish Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, especially on the Switch 2.
Adding demo save-data transfer is such a smart move—there’s nothing better than diving into a game, getting hooked, and knowing your progress won’t be wasted if you decide to pick up the full version. Plus, who can say no to bug fixes for a smoother experience?
Definitely going to download the demo tonight and check it out! Thanks for the tip, Gaga4Yaya!
