I have no intention on getting it but sounds really interesting.
Interesting, and this revision is NoE exclusive?
Likely because of compliance with the EU regulation that requires batteries in tech stuff be user replaceable.
What will be interesting is what Apple and other phone manufacturers come up with.
They are exempt since the batteries last so long
Iphones are not exempt. Any consumer device with a lithium ion battery must be user replaceable. Iphone batteries start to fail just after 1 year by design. We are seeing iphone 17 batteries with 10-15% degradation already. They are designed to fail outside of the warranty period so you upgrade or pay apple £80 to repair the battery.
I figured that’s what it was. But if they’re already manufacturing it lol the could bring it over. Plus, a removable battle switch would warrant a new sku and I’m sure they could sell a ton of those. I for sure would buy one.
