Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Version 3.0.1 now available (patch notes)

Monolith Soft has deployed a new update for the excellent Xenoblade Chronicles 2 bringing the JRPG to Version 3.0.1. This update focuses on eliminating bugs that transpired due to the recently released Nintendo Switch 2 version of the action-packed game. You can read the full patch notes down below.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where, when receiving WP as an amiibo reward while playing New Game Plus with accessory slots increased to three slots, accessory slots would reduce to two slots.
    • Note: If you re-unlocked the extra accessory slot after this bug occurred, then the items expended to unlock the extra slot will be returned.
  • Fixed an issue where the background music and sound effects balance differed from the Nintendo Switch version.
  • Fixed an issue when a Driver joins the party where the Driver will sometimes join with an exorbitant amount of WP.
  • Fixed an issue in which Rex sometimes becomes uncontrollable when switching from Pyra to Mythra during combat. 
  • Fixed an issue in which Pouch Item effects did not activate during combat after swapping MOMO to a form other than the one she was in at combat start.
