The Nintendo eShop product page for the sure to be popular Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 has revealed that the game will be 84.9GB. While this is one big file-size it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to those of you who have played recent entries on the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 where the file-sizes of the Call of Duty games seem to get bigger each year. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches on Nintendo Switch 2 and other formats on 16th October.
Wow a lot of file sizes.
That is half as small compared to other platforms which are more than twice the size with 70% of that is just wasted space.
FF7 Remake had a gigantic file size, but I will admire that it does look like a beautiful game. I suppose depending on the art direction they take, they can make this look great as well.

It’s not even out yet, the beta isn’t even playable yet on the switch 2.
But in 2 days, if it is a disaster, that will go down as one of the funniest insults of all time. I honestly hope their right, that insult is just “chefs kiss”.

CoD is infamous for releasing with massive download files, but 80GB is pretty manageable
I am starting to play the open beta today for this game. But, doing it the proper way on XBOX. Nintendo has a long way to go on their Online services. Pokemon Legends Z-A should have had a much better online function than it has. I just feel COD needs to be played online on XBOX or Playstation where it all started. But, if you have a kid that has parents that will only let him or her have only one system and they choose a Switch 2, then something is better than nothing.

Too big for me to entertain buying. They should make is possible to delete all the pointless shit, like cutscenes.
