Famed video game composer Grant Kirkhope has revealed in a new interview that he knows of three video game studios that have pitched a Banjo-Kazooie game to Microsoft and Xbox Game Studios. He wouldn’t be drawn into naming the studios but he did say that he believes that none of the pitches were successful. However, with a recent official Xbox poll showing a new Banjo-Kazooie game is the most wanted game by Xbox owners it seems likely that some team is currently working on it.
“I do know of like three companies that have actually physically pitches to Microsoft or to Rare about making another Banjo Kazooie game, and I don’t think anyone was successful.”
Uh, and what does that have to do with Nintendo?

I honestly can’t think of any game announcement that would excite me more than a new Banjo game. No new spin on the series, just a straight up Banjo-Threeie. I can keep dreaming I guess. It’s cool to see other devs want to bring them back too.
Yeah, me too. It probably won’t be as groundbreaking as the first two, but it will be a fresh start to tell the story that the original Banjo-Threeie wanted to tell back then. Nuts & Bolts tried, but it didn’t have the direction that people were looking for.
