The most requested game on Xbox Players Voice is a new Banjo-Kazooie game

Banjo Kazooie

Microsoft has been listening to their customers as of late and it has been seen as a positive move by many. The company recently opened up its Xbox Players Voice site where you can suggest things that you want with the No.1 request being that Xbox move back to exclusives. The most requested game by Xbox players isn’t a new Halo or Gears of War game, but is instead a request for a new Banjo-Kazooie game. The last Banjo-Kazooie game was Nuts and Bolts on the Xbox 360, which is thankfully still playable thanks to backwards compatibility. Who would actually work on a new Banjo-Kazooie game remains to be seen, but with all the acquisitions there must be someone.

    1. That is the dumbest thing ever said also no not happening. Who would buy it? It’s a almost 30+ year old dormant IP that appeals to people in their 40’s a small sector of gaming.

      1. I am pretty sure mario odyssey has gotten a lot of players into the 3d platformer genre. I was introduced to banjo kazooie because of that game, and I am pretty sure a lot of people also were. Just because a franchise is old doesn’t mean it’s not relevant to kids now a days.

      2. Glad you’re not a CEO because yikes. Who would buy it? Plenty of people, myself included. I don’t get where you came up with people in their 40s being in the main demographic. I played the game when I was 6 and I’m in my early 30s now. There’s countless dormant IPs that get new releases. Kid Icarus hadn’t seen a new game in years, yet the 3DS game sold well.

Fyi, maybe it would be in your best interest to take some math. The latest game was in 2008. The latest game to feature them in any capacity was Smash just a few years ago. There’s also been recent rereleases.

      3. You could’ve said the same thing about Crash or Spyro, but they made remakes of their trilogies and they sold well. I mean, the N Sane Trilogy sold over 20mil copies alone and that’s huge for a revival of an old franchise. So yes, there is a market and all the talk about how good the originals were will only boost that, just like it did for the Crash and Spyro remakes.

    1. The games aren’t as good to you. I don’t get why you’re speaking for everyone as if it’s fact. 3D platformers don’t appeal to you. Plenty of people still love them. It’s why Ratchet & Clank, Mario, Donkey Kong got rave reviews with all their latest entries.

  1. And it will never happen, everyone who were behind these games left. And people disliked Yooka-Laylee, showing they don’t like them anyway.

  2. Here’s how this can happen the simplest way. Bring back Vicarious Visions and have them remake the first 2 games also all other old Xbox and Activision IP later making sequels. They should have remade Spyro and THPS 3+4

  3. Had they had paid attention when Banjo-Kazooie was revealed on the Smash Bro trailer, Xbox Sales would have been up everywhere by now. Sort of stupid for Xbox to not paid attention to this 9 years ago. 9 years was enough time to bring it out. Now if fans want to play it it would cost over $1000 to play it if developers are working on it.

  4. Other games are better fits. Conker fits Xbox better. But Phil lied for years saying this would come back over 10 years later none of the old Xbox IP came back or didn’t come back good looking at Battletoads and post season 1 Killer Instinct was not great almost forgot Crackdown 3 that was another flop.

  5. I honestly think the best developer for a new Banjo-Kazooie is Toys for Bob. They knocked it out of the park with Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Crash 4. Their art style would also fit perfectly for Banjo-Kazooie.

  6. There are other games that deserve it more Conker better fits Xbox, Blinx, True Crime, Tony Hawk Underground, Tao Feng, Kakuto Chojin, Crimson Skies, Mech Assault, Jet Force Gemini, Prototype, Kameo, Fuzion Frenzy, Quantum Redshift, Brute Force, Phantom Dust, Ryse, Tenchu, Magatama, they all deserve it right now. Throw Blinx at Arzest and Evening Star, give Battletoads to the Shinobi devs, give Brute Force and Mech to Saber, Conker maybe to Squansh, Crash and Spyro to Big Red Button, this isn’t hard.

  7. If they make Banjo like the first 2 games but with better graphics, I’d personally buy a 200-dollar collectors physical edition. But I’m curious at what the name would be Banjo…Trioie? Thretooie? Banjo 3 Newooie/Newoie.
Also, they might as well make his sister the third playable player with an older Design but different play style or even like her own Campaign if you beat the main game that is either just as long or half as long as the main campaign/story
