  1. So probably…. Zelda movie, OoT remake, maybe Twilight Princess release on NSO?

Less likely but would be cool… A Zelda HD collection (WW, TP, and SS). An HD port of ALBW. Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of Echoes of Wisdom.

    1. I can’t imagine getting WW, TP, and SS all together. Maybe WW and TP, but not a game that’s already being sold at full price as a Switch game. Who knows with Nintendo these days, though, I’m finding their strategy for releases harder and harder to understand, never mind predict. The way they have handled 3D Mario rereleases broke my brain.

I thought we already have a Switch 2 edition of EoW?

HD port of ALBW would be nice.

    1. Plenty.

The Zelda Direct goes without saying. Finally showcasing the movie. Finally talking more about the remake. Maybe ports of the HD versions for the Switch 2. Maybe a side project for later or, most unlikely of all, a teaser of the next original Zelda game.

The Nintendo Direct goes without saying. A bit more of Fortune’s Weave, more third party stuff. Maybe a new Metroid, like it was rumored.

  2. I love how Sony tried to have a double back-to-back one and they absolutely fell flat on their face and here comes Nintendo with the chair being like okay now that the junior league’s out of the way. Let’s have the professional show how it’s done. 😁

    1. If they’ve been working on it, I think they will announce/tease it during the regular direct. It’s about the typical time they would do it.. but that’s only if they’ve actually been working on it (presumably since the end of Kirby Air Riders development)

      1. I just realized there’s another direct scheduled the day after, so there is hope. In any case, thank you for the benign reply instead of saying “Um, actually, we’re never going to get a new Smash bros on the Switch 2. We’re going to get an HD port of Melee with 10 Sonic reps instead.”

  3. I really hope there are 2 new versions of Ocarina of Time coming. An ambitious remake that adds and shakes things up, and then a slightly remastered version of the 3DS Ocarina for the old school purests. Then everyone is happy.

  4. My predictions
For the Zelda direct, we will see a new trailer for the Oot remake, a small teaser for the next mainline Zelda game, a trailer for the movie with the cast introducing themselves, either a port of twilight princess or DLC for age of improvement, and a new four swords game, and the return of the Zelda concerts.
For the Nintendo direct, it will cold open with new footage of a new game in a random franchise, with ports of Clair obscur and assassins creeds 4 resynced, another trailer for Duskbloods with a release date, a new trailer for Nintendo switch sports, Pokemon colosseum being added to Nintendo switch online, doom the dark ages is coming to switch 2, guardians of the galaxy for the switch 2, sea of sorrow (hopefully), and we will end on a teaser trailer

  5. I do not think the next brand new Zelda is a 2027 game and will not be revealed. Possibly mentioned, “we are working on a brand new game with a new story” at most. It reallly depends though on what this ocarina of time. Is it a re-imagining and going to be a 50+ hour game, or is it more faithful to the 64.

  6. Please let this Direct have some killer announcements! The last one was not that stimulating at all. I am waiting to get Fire Emblem Fortunes Weave for later down the road instead of release day. I have plenty to do in Three Houses still. I need time to finish some other games for now. OOT is still on the list for this year.

  7. This is the 40th anniversary….they really need to go big or go home. Aside from the OoT remake trailer and release date and all the special editions related to that, I really want to see a Twilight Princess remake (even better, if they revealed a Wind Waker remake was on the way too). I expect movie news too, but that’s secondary to the GAMES, BABY. Let’s GO.

  8. Funny, none of the “leakers” and other cheap “predictors” had expected 2 ND this month…
What’s even funnier is that it doesn’t even line up with the rumors due to Ubisoft’s announcement to reveal the new Just Dance on September 10.

    1. Do you not get tired of doing this every time?
If they had leaked there being 2 Nintendo directs you wouldn’t have believed it anyway, in the same way you’ve not believed a dozen leaks in the past that ended up being true, the biggest of which probably being the Switch 2 leak itself.

You’re pathetic lmao, just admit you have no idea what you’re talking about and get back in the kitchen where you belong.

  9. It’s time for Luigis Mansion 4! I really hope for it.
There has to be some Mario Kart World DLC coming!
I think we will be getting Zelda Switch 2 and pro controller as rumored.
A new Paper Mario could be announced.
Maybe a teaser of the next Smash Bros. Or maybe just a Switch 2 update for Ultimate.

The Nintendo Direct can only be better than the last one. My only concern is they say “games releasing this winter”. So nothing further out in 27 which could mean Luigis Mansion 4 and a new Smash will not be there.
