NateTheHate: Starfield Nintendo Switch 2 port may have been cancelled

Starfield has long been rumoured to be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 system though we have yet to receive any announcement. Today, reliable leaker NateTheHate has said on X that he believes the port of Starfield may have been cancelled on Nintendo’s latest platform. We had heard that the team had difficulties getting Starfield up and running satisfactorily on the Nintendo Switch 2.

  1. So, Hello Games managed to run No Man’s Sky on the original Switch, a console that runs The Witcher 3, Dragon Quest XI, Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom and Microsoft can’t run Starfield on the same console that runs Cyberpunk 2077 and others?

That is, if this leaker is telling the truth. They says words but don’t prove them.

    1. I mean there’s minecraft on the original switch, but it’s really bad. Like it takes a long time for things to render and you cna only see out for so far as well. I played cyberpunk on the steam deck but it was an ok experience. It could have just been they have a minimum expectation for how they want the game to be played and it just didn’t meet it on the switch 2

  2. Is it still exclusive to the Xbox consoles? I think I remember seeing it get ported to ps5, but I don’t remember if it was ported to steam. I mean I will take it, but stuff like Hifi rush needs to be on Nintendo consoles.
