Dusk Golem: Resident Evil Requiem’s DLC is aiming for a late 2027 release

Resident Evil insider Dusk Golem has reiterated that Capcom is aiming to release the highly-anticipated Resident Evil Requiem downloadable content in late 2027. Dusk says that it a “rather ambitious” slice of DLC. DLC is seen as a viable way for Capcom to continue delivering Resident Evil content at a healthy pace due to the lack of spin-off side stories currently in the pipeline. Dusk says Resident Evil Veronica will also receive substantial downloadable content.

“What I’ve said in the past is Resident Evil Requiem’s DLC is aiming for a late 2027 release date (which the writer mentions the DLC is currently in the writing phase, which hey, adds up), it is aiming to be a rather ambitious DLC done by a lot of the same people at M-Two & K2 who worked on RE:4’s Separate Ways DLC. Arklay Mansion from RE1 was a scrapped sequence from RE9 repurposed for the DLC. Because this DLC, Veronica Remake, & RE:1 are all in dev at the same time there’s also been an effort to nail down the RE Engine version of the Manor.”

“Due to a lack of spin-off side stories in the pipeline currently, this RE9 DLC & a future Veronica DLC were greenlit earlier this year as a temporary measure to fill in those gaps fans wants & to respond to RE9 feedback. Veronica was aiming for a Q1 release & been being for the last few months, why I said I wasn’t surprised it wasn’t showing up at events since it’s in an important crunch period, it’d delay to Q2 if needed. More recently, I’ve heard from three separate people I trust it seems like it was delayed to Fall 2026.”
