Last year we saw a next generation console launch with a minimalistic amount of hardware in stock, and subsequently because of production shortages prospective gamers were forced to purchase rival consoles or to simply go without.
Nintendo being the ever assertive company couldn’t help but notice the mistakes Microsoft made with the Xbox 360 launch, and has therefore decided to start production on its next generation console as early as possible.
A recent online discovery reveals that Nintendo could have started production of the its next generation console as early as July, with a recent job posting confirming that the company is currently looking for workers on its console manufacturing assembly lines to help produce and assemble the Wii :
“It’s an exciting time to be a part of Nintendo’s team! Millions of eager fans are eagerly anticipating the launch of our revolutionary new console, Wii. As a Production Agent Trainee, you’ll be on the front-lines–working tirelessly to ensure they don’t leave stores empty handed this holiday season.”
This of course can only be seen as good news for consumers hoping to get to grips with the machine come the systems expected launch later this year, and with recent reports mounting that Sony has yet to set a date for production of its PlayStation 3, could Nintendo start the console war with the upper hand this Christmas? Well it certainly seems plausible.
So when you say “Nintendo Wii Currently In Production?”, do you mean it with a question mark or not? Or is it simply a rumour. It sounds like a rumour but then there’s a quote talking about it in a way that makes it seem definate.
Things are certainly looking up for Nintendo. If they are under production and are as easy to make as other souces have claimed there should be loads more Wiis than PS3s on sale. This can only be a good thing for Nintendo.
Hi Maxz your indeed correct in questioning the question mark. I added it as I’m unsure of the date that the actual manufacturing of the units began. Though it does appear that the production of Wii units is currently underway.
This is good news, and Sony are allegedly having problems with PS£ production…
