Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, which was revealed during last month’s Nintendo Direct presentation, is heading to both Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. Although we’ve only heard about the Wii U version of the game, IGN Executive Editor Rich George assures Nintendo 3DS owners that they’ll also be able to purchase the game. Launch details and timing for both versions will be announced at a later date.

Both might be very similar. Each version will use two screens and a touch screen.
Well, considering both Wii U and 3DS have dual screens (and one is touch), it might be that ports of Wii U games to the 3DS could be much more similar than previous ports form different systems.

Yes, but the Wii U’s lineup for this fall already includes many AAA Nintendo titles. Retro’s project may be pusheb back to 2014 just so there is not a drought in games for the Wii U, because we all know ANOTHER one of those is the last thing Nintendo needs.
