Rayman Legends Will Include 40 Levels From Origins, Plus Developer Demo

Emile Morel and Michel Ancel from Ubisoft show off a Luchador theamed boss battle and how Murfy helps you through levels for the Xbox 360 version of Rayman Legends. Ancel and the rest of the development team have announced that they are also including Kung Foot which is a soccer-themed minigame that supports up to five local players. Rayman Legends will also include forty remastered levels from the critically acclaimed Rayman Origins. Rayman Legends is coming to a number of platforms this August and September, including PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, and Wii U.

Thanks, Mike S

            1. It worked…

Lovely times now awaits my friend as our Nintendomination began 4 days ago in our homeworld…

But I’m extremely skeptical to this “Seaman”…

It’s like a bad combination of Animal Crossing and Zelda fishing…

I also love Golden Sun, TLA being the best of the 3…

Dark Dawn was easy unfortunately but great nontheless…

              1. The Seaman scares me, but you know what Nintendo caters to all people, even the weird and bizzare species we need to intergrate into our empire :). Pikmin 3, has exceeded even my expectations. Soldiers in europe it is time to buy and play Pikmin 3 with fulfiled enjoyment.

        1. There might be a bundle. If you are in the Uk or europe, save 50 Euros a month and by December you shall have a WiiU. Get extra work, visit your local community service or churches plus the commerce wing of government. They have jobs and know people who do.

  1. New to Rayman – Is the new game a remake of Origins then? Or just including some levels? How much is new content vs rehashed content?

    1. Nope… it’s a complete game with 90 levels and 40 bonus levels from Rayman Origins… you know, for those who weren’t able to try the original.

  2. A few things. Wii U version console superiority CONFIRMED. Murfy basically being a quick time event in the PS360 versions? LOL!!!!!!!!! XD. Also, including more challenging content for more skilled players? EPIC WIN!!!!!!!!! Why the FUCK can’t Nintendo do this?!?!?!?! (Not talking about Retro, of coarse. Just the guys in Japan).

    1. Murfy’s Dungeon levels are my personal favs I get a gold medal every time Ive one them on Challenge app….

Those levels will suck. I don’t think vita’s screen will have the accuracy to compared to Wiiu’s resistive screen.

        1. Same kinda bro…. I loved them and played them none stop for about a month but then I play like once every 2 weeks now… just got a bit bored of the app and want the full game.

    2. Saw a guy playing with Murfy by holding B and at the same playing as Rayman during a livestream… Not only it makes the pace a lot slower, it’s not precise at all, and the multitask that it requires makes it an awful experience to watch.

  3. Looks like delayin this game was good thing after all. I hope it does well on Wii u so we can expect more support!

    1. If it still remained exclusive then I could see it sell alot but now I’m not sure it will even beat Origins…

      1. This may be the exception to that statement. The game was delayed because they didn’t think it would sell enough on WiiU not bevause it needed polishing so instead they removed exclusivity to make sub par ports for the other consoles and lost my purchase.

          1. No. They lost my sale because of timing. I’ll have many better games to play in the same release window as Rayman.

  4. I’ll be getting this for Wii U and Vita. Maybe PS3 depending on how they integrate the Vita second screen functions between PS3/Vita.

But for sure Wii U and Vita. From the first Wii U demo I played of this game, I wanted it. And since Origins was absolutely beautiful on the Vita – a perfect fit, I’ll be getting it for that.

    1. Simply G, see how pikmin 3 is ruling Japan. Also how the 3DS is ruling all consoles on the entire planet. Not even the WiiU could dislodge that beautiful wonder known as the great great great grand child and then some of the original gameboy. Tetris and super Mario land created a wonder :).

P.S get the WiiU rayman legends, then spend the other money on your PS4 purchase :). 3DSWiiUPS4PC that is what is called a 5 star combo.

      1. Who said anything about spending money? ;) lol

Anyway, yup, saw the sales spike for Pikmin 3. It just reinforces the fact that good (and well known) games sell systems.

As for your P.S., I already have everything covered. ;)

        1. Great, we need people to buy the PS4 so as the WiiU has real competition, that way we get more monolith gems like Xenoblade and sony makes games with artistic brilliance and patience like the last of us.

  5. That was a really awesome thing to do, and they’re all revamped in the new visuals and support Murphy in the levels. Awesome.

    1. Not sure why everyone is so happy. A few of the best levels, yeah, but instead of porting and fancying up Origins levels, they couldve used the extra time to make more new ones.

  6. LOL DK,Sonic,Mario and Rayman all 4 kings of platformin comin this year to Wii u. Gonna rap about it

    Yeah yo
    Come on
    Fuck off bitch
    You lil witch
    Yeah its Rayman
    Hes no gayman
aww screw it im runnin out of ideas………………………………….

    1. I am Beat boxing like this was the eighties and music was forever good. Run DMC and POison on the same stage.

    2. Rayman coming to your platform throwing hands,
You’d think he wolverine or spiderman.
Mario jumping and dodging bowser with more room to go,
that’s why he’s the star of super smash bros.
Dk,The strongest gorilla you ever saw on a console,
He came a long way from throwing barrels while he mocked you.
Sonic, fasted creature you ever seen alive,
don’t say you can catch up to him, guess why? because it’s a lie.

  8. I lost all the hype on Legends since they announced the delay; it somehow hampered Wii U sales so far. It’s okay to end up having a “better” game in the shelf, but I no longer planning to grab this. I’ll save my money for other games.

    1. I’m with you on this. However, I’m holding off for a used copy so that Ubisoft doesn’t get any of my money.

      1. Ubi made a terrible move at that time. Even making the Legends App available for Wii U users did not fix the issue, IMHO. Moreover, first they came up with the excuse that the game should be polished, period. But that was unveiled not to be the true, since recently Michel Ancel said that the reason behind the decision was based on the putative profit they would make in having Legends as a Wii U exclusive. It’s ok going multiplat, but the delay and the lie they told are unacceptable.

    2. After seeing Pikmin 3 Smash Japanese charts, Ubisoft execs have realised one thing. You do not under estimate a company that has this man:

SHIGERU MIYAMOTO. A man that single handedly saved video games times and time again. The man whose Pikmin has Catalysed the WiiU.

“A delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is bad forever.” – Shigeru Miyamoto.

      1. I’m with my fingers crossed, hoping now the Wii U sales raise and keep high worldwide once the big hitters head to Wii U. Also, I’m very happy about the Japanese response to Pikmin 3. I confess I wasn’t expecting such an elevated number of Pikmin 3 units sold as well as the increase in Wii U hardware sales.

        1. Things have been good from february. Remember the PS4 announcement and Nintendo stock went up 9 points? Also the fact that European retailers are selling the WiiU at a reduced prices saves the consumer well. With the console selling again prices shall go back to normal, so buy now Gamers :).

    1. Ancel and the developers wanted the game to release on the WiiU in February or march. It is the Suits and pen pushers that delayed the game. The Developers actually protested Ubisoft with plackards.

      1. I migt be wrong here but excluding the delay because they felt the Wii U didn’t sell well and decided to port it to other systems…

Didn’t the developers say that these 40 levels would be all brand new and not remastered ones from the previous game?…

With new bosses and so on…

          1. Me too, I’ve never been interested in Rayman…

Hopefully they don’t screw us over with Watch Dogs…

  9. New game or not the old levels were classic
It’s like buying 2 games in one. I was sold when I seen the mariachi level with the rocky theme song.

  10. I was also mad at what Ubisoft did but don’t be mad at Rayman guys. The game looks awesome, so I’m getting it.

  11. Remember to buy the game when it’s released. If the WiiU version outsells the other versions combined, those guys at Ubisoft might realise they didn’t need to make the game multi platform. By not buying the game, we’ll just prove them right…

  12. By now I’ve played the demo, the app, and saw a whole list of trailers…. basically I’ve seen the same 3 levels like a million times. The delay was enough to lose my support. I’m actually happy though, seeing as this saved me $60. But I’ll eventually get it used for like $5 on amazon.
