Super Smash Bros creator Masahiro Sakurai has revealed on Miiverse that Mother Brain is an assist trophy in the upcoming Super Smash Bros for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. This is clearly one of the best assist trophies we’ve seen so far. Are you pleased with its inclusion?

I thought it should be a boss, weird that its an assist trophy, but still glad to see it in some form in the game :D

also, since he second form is more organic than the first form, i think they hyper beam could be used on both forms, just that it would break the container

Awesome trophy! All will bow down to the greatness of her monstrous power. Would’ve been cooler if she came in her second form. Imagine if her “human” form came instead. Lol. Hugs!

Nice. Metroid is awesome. Maybe her walking form will be a boss like how the Yellow Devil is pretty much “confirmed” to be a boss.
I just hope Ridley is a playable character and NOT the boss of the Metroid stage… though sadly, it make a lot of sense to have Ridley be the boss of the Pyrosphere :,(

I wonder if this also means that all the stages are being added with connections to certain Boss characters? That Kid Icarus stage might have Palutena as a boss, or maybe Dark Pit?
Garden of hope could have a Bulbord
Mario Galaxy could have Bowser Jr.’s Pirate Ship or some other boss like Dino Piranha
Skyloft could turn into the Silent realm where you have to fight off the Watchers or maybe Ghirahim just shows up?
Dr. Eggman can show up on Windy Hill Zone or even somehow it could be the Deadly Six
But there are also levels that would have no bosses… hmm it is possible Skyloft, Animal Crossing and Wuhu Island just have no bosses?
Then there is the Boxing ring who I could DEFINITELY see King Hippo show up as a boss.
