The Nintendo 3DS version of Super Smash Bros will feature an exclusive mode called Smash Run: a 4-player battle game set in a dungeon-like stage full of power-ups to collect. You can explore the stage & collect power-ups for 5 minutes, then slug it out with your enhanced fighters.

Because it’s shit and they want the WIi U to die already. That’s also the reason why 3DS is getting it first.
The Wii U is coming out later, so I bet they are announcing its exclusives modes in E3 or later after the 3DS version comes out, right now they have to sell the 3DS version first, then they’ll release exclusive Wii U stuff for when the Wii U version comes out. Troll harder, troll.

It will have it’s own exclusive mode calm down. This is the 3DS’s replacement for Story mode.

Mario Kart 8? I’m sure Smash Bros will be fun on the 3DS but I’m still getting it on the Wii U so I can play it on the TV in HD.
