South African Retailer Lists Splatoon Amiibo

Well this is a turn up for the books. A South African retail outlet has just put up a listing for a variety of new amiibo figures. Raru, the retailer, has listed Splatoon Boy amiibo and Splatoon Girl amiibo. It certainly makes a lot of sense for Nintendo to release Splatoon amiibo, but we will have to wait for an official announcement.

Thanks to those who sent this in.

      1. Or maybe just a special weapon that literally doesn’t affect anything like the spinner in hyrule warriors

      2. Yah well I can dream, I think Nintendo should have at least a few secret characters for the game in the works. More so if this is to be the main and last entry, which im sure is still up in the air.

      3. I’d guess that it would have the same functionality as the other amiibos on SSB, where you store your character’s data on in and use it to play in other systems. Characters in Splatoon will be customizable with equipment, and that would probably keep track of battles/points too.

        1. Probably. Nintendo is gonna try and sell the shit outta these Amiibo’s. I just want more Zelda U news.

    1. Or maybe let’s you take your custom characters to tournaments or over to your friends house, since customization is going to be big in the game.

  1. This is starting to get ridiculous. After the Smash Bros amiibo, I’m hanging it up for the amiibo. I may hay be swayed back if they do something with the new The Legend of Zelda game…..

  2. Nintendo have put some of their eggs in this Splatoon basket, so a Splatoon series of Amiibo does make sense. Special costumes and Weapons maybe???

  3. Interesting, if you hit the link you will also see that there are pre-order slots for Greninja and Jigglypuff. Hmmm…

  4. This is South Africa were talking about… They know nothing about Nintendo gaming. Over there it’s mostly Sony. I know this because my parents are from Nigeria in West Africa and I visited there for the first time last year.

  5. It does make sense. Remember Nintendo already confirmed that more waves of amiibos are on the way so this news definitely falls in place with that. I would definitely buy Splatoon amiibos if the features they unlock are worth it

  8. Greninja and Jigglypuff too? Hmm….wave 4 hasn’t even become available for pre-order yet. So this is questionable.

  9. sasori obinna: the puppet master

ps3 and xbox 360 are even rare to find in africa because their expensive as heck.
