The NPD sales results have arrived from the United States and it is once again the Nintendo Switch which was the best-selling platform for the month of February. Sales of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One continue to decline as consumers wait for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, which are planned to be released this holiday season.
“Nintendo Switch was the best-selling hardware platform of February in both unit and dollar sales,” NPD analyst Mat Piscatella said. “And [it] remains the best-selling hardware platform of the year.”
“Hardware spending in February 2020 fell 34% when compared to a year ago, to $183 million,” said Piscatella. “All in-market console platforms declined when compared to a year ago. Annual spending has dropped 35 percent, to $312 million.”
For people and fans who have PS4 and Xbox One, they should at least enjoy and play the current consoles and games they already have before they get ready on getting the next gen consoles.
I’m a bit of a PC Gamer, but I like my Nintendo Switch more.
I sold my Xbox One X and I barely touch my old PS4, but I’m still thinking of getting an Xbox Series X for the convenience of it being in the living room and PS5 for the VR
I’m not surprised. I’ve been playing with my switch since I bought it last year. 🙂
Maybe because people are waiting for the next generation Xbox and Playstation
