Nintendo’s US marketing boss, Cammie Dunaway, has told US gaming publication Gamespot that the company wont be launching a Wii successor anytime in the near future.
“I don’t think it will be any time soon. Even though our installed base is, at this point, five million households larger than the PS2 was at the same point in its lifecycle, it still has a lot of room to grow.
“That being said, part of Nintendo’s heritage is to always be looking at innovation and to start working on the next hardware as soon as we launch a platform, so we’ll have it ready when we think the time is right.”

Wii is a last gen machine.
Then I guess a last gen system is kicking the 360’s ass, so sad.
Got that right!
Lol, they’re just doing everything they can to keep it hush-hush.
I expect them to start talking about the next system by 2012.
