Nintendo Wii: Zelda Wii Reconfirmed For Late 2010

Nintendo’s Cammie Dunaway recently had the chance to speak to online technology publication Wired regarding Nintendo’s recently released software dates.

During the interview with Wired Cammie Dunaway stated to the publication that it owed her a steak for doubting that new Mario, Metroid and Zelda games would be released in one year.

“One of the things that’s true for Nintendo is that we’re not driven by a calendar for our release dates. When the games are ready to go, when the quality is perfect, that’s when we release.

“We all benefit if we can keep a pretty steady pace, so the development teams have worked hard to make sure that we’ve got a full lineup this year. If you compare the first half of 2010 with the first half of 2009, it’s night and day. And from some of the things that Mr. Iwata has talked about, and that we will talk about at E3, like Zelda, you know that we’re going to have a good back half of the year, as well.”

  1. I’m really excited but this could also mean that 2011 might be a slow year for Ninty :p

Also, it seems rather desperate of them to attempt to boost sales by promising the big 3 titles in the same fiscal year. However, I’m still stoked that we could potentially see Zelda Wii this year. The sooner the better? Maybe.

I only hope they’re not just rushing to get Zelda Wii out this year to boost those sales figures..
