Final Fantasy VII Revelation DLC will come if demand is there

The excellent Final Fantasy VII Remake series has tons of content packed into it but with Final Fantasy VII Revelation being the final part of the thrilling trilogy, many will be hoping for additional content to arrive at a later date. In a new Famitsu interview, Naoki Hamaguchi, said that he knows fans wanted DLC in Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth but the development team wanted to soldier on ahead with Final Fantasy VII: Revelation. However, if demand is there for Final Fantasy VII: Revelation (i.e it sells well) then it is something the team will do. Here’s what Hamaguchi, said via machine translation.

This might be premature, but are there any plans for DLC (downloadable content) after the game is completed?

Hamaguchi: We received many requests for DLC for ‘FFVII Rebirth’ as well. However, we decided that it would ultimately be better for our users to invest all our development resources into ‘FFVII Liberation’ and release it to the public as quickly as possible, rather than creating DLC at that time.

FFVII Liberation’ will conclude the series, but if there is significant demand and requests from users after release, we would like to actively consider addressing the requests for more details and exploring aspects that haven’t been depicted yet, including previous spin-off titles.

  1. I’d love to see more content related to Dirge of Cerberus and the Deepground. We got that snippet in Intermission, but a prequel DLC about Vincent would be fantastic!

  2. I would absolutely love this. I mean, I bought Remake (twice) and Rebirth, and I’m going to buy Revelations. Probably for both me and my partner (I bought her 1 & 2, so 3 should be the perfect gift hehe)

I think the demand is certainly there! No stone unturned, I want as much FFVII Remake as possible! Lmao

  3. It would be cool if they put advent children in theatres for next year alongside revelations. Also I like the name liberation, it just sounds cool!

  4. Hopefully not. This kind of ripoff needs to end. The whole game… THE WHOLE GAME!!!!!!…. was available on four CDs or download. It has a way better story than whatever this braincrap was and cost LESS than this train wreck. But hey, sheeps will always follow the slaughter and enjoy the grass until-…

    1. Oh I see Leo is just a baiter and troll. He was saying the same thing about Resident Evil in another article.

  5. Leo is just upset. He isn’t wrong. Entire remake arc has been dogwater. I bought Intergrade and never finished it due to how terrible it is.
