Kingdom Hearts 4 made a surprise showing at the Nintendo Direct presentation yesterday but while the game is launching on the Nintendo Switch 2 at the same time as other platforms, a release date was not announced. However, a new Australian retail listing which details the upcoming Kingdom Hearts Collection says that Kingdom Hearts 4 will arrive in 2027. Here’s the blurb:

Then the rumor was true. Honestly KH needs 2 years promotion it’s better for the game and this needs a 3.8 collection the mobile games need to be remade otherwise KH4 is not understandable all the story elements are in those games it would be worse than KH3.
It’s why 2028 would be better unless that collection is coming out early 2027 or this year. Those games are either scrapped or delisted.
Big issue in 3 Ephemer shows up and no one knows who he is or what happened to the students of rhe foretellers.
They should have shown this in 2025 then. Hopefully this means Neku and Yozora trailer at TGS.
Not to be a pessimist, but I will believe it when Square Enix announces it themselves
It’s not accessible the story is tied to the mobile games which are not in these collections and they are now delisted. Missing Link was cancelled. All those games need to be remade or get animated movies before release of 4.
I’d like that but it seems 2027 is all FF7 year and KH needs way more like a collection/remake of the mobile games. This really needs to fix the wrongs that KH3 made another game that suffered because a lot of people didn’t know they needed to play the mobile games to understand the story. Hope we get Neku, Zack, Joshua, and Cloud back but 2028 seems more likely. Also would love for Oswald to finally be in KH same with Max Goof and Sylvia.
That would be a shock. 2028 seems more likely maybe they do what 3 did announced 2027 and delay to 2028 or just hold off on release year until certain. If 2027 is the year hopefully Verum Rex is soon and ready waiting in the chamber alongside 5. Dark Road Union X need remakes first tho

Verum Rex and 5 better not take this long and hopefully 5 ends the story. We still need remakes too of Union X and Dark Road.
They better crank out trailers like crazy and I want remakes of the mobile games first! Just like 2.8!

I’m fine with just 1 big world Quadratum no Disney actually prefer NO Disney worlds. Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Yen Sid, are all I want. I guess Maleficent and Pete too given the ending of 3. Oswald should finally be in the game and really want to see Max Goof as a keyblade user and just for Goofy to have a love interest Sylvia from Extremely Goofy Movie.
