Nintendo have revealed the Nintendo 3DS pricing and release date during their Tokyo press conference today.
The 3DS will be released in Japan February 26, 2011 and will retail for ¥25,000 (USD$300). There will be two colours available at launch so consumers can either choose the Aqua Blue or the Cosmos Black version of the console.
Nintendo have yet to reveal when we will be seeing the 3DS in the West but the company have tentatively laid down a March 2011 release date for North America and Europe.

wow. .
I really wanted. .
Is there a
black color?
Didn’t u read it? There are 2 colors: blue & black….i thought they would try to get it out around christmas to boost sales but i guess not…
I was hoping it would be out before Christmas, but it does give more time to save up!
around march?? YES!! my birthdays near then you know what that means lol x
Thats good like ppl said before , it gives us time to save some money
Well, it’ll surely be around $300 in the west, too bad it won’t be out around Christmas…. still that gives me more time to save up for a couple of games =D
$300!?! You must be joking!
It will probably launch at $249.99, like the Wii. And even if it does go for $300, this should persuade you to get it.

The Nintendo games line-up starts at 1:20.
Nice. Thanks for the vid. Guess I’m among a few who’s comfortable with the pricing but, if it ever gets here to Nigeria, it may end up being double the price!
Does this mean that they will no longer make games for DS?
Maybe they’ll continue to do so for awhile.
Too bad. I was hoping to get it in December in Beirut. Oh well. I’ll wait for it here in Nigeria.
Niice, can’t wait for it! Seems it will be expensive though.
