According to IGN Japanese consumers have flocked to pre-order Nintendo’s forthcoming 3DS consoles with hundreds taking to the streets and going online to make sure they secure themselves a console for the February 26th launch date. Because of the initial influx of people many stores including Amazon have declared they’ve sold out of pre-order stock.
Phew! I’ve just got my pre-order in with Shopto.net, they’re doing it for £199.85, it wont be long before the 3DS pre-orders are sold out in the UK.
Yup. I just got an email from them saying they’ve dropped the price from £219.85 to £199.85 – that’s much more reasonable : )

Well I hope they have more in America! I need to pre order an American model and get it shipped to Hong Kong but the only way I can really do that is via play-asia and they haven’t set up pre orders for the american model yet :(
