Nintendo UK believe that an incredible 85% of the British general public will have seen an advertisement for the company’s forthcoming Nintendo 3DS console.
The company also hope that around half a million British consumers will have had the opportunity to go hands-on with the 3D device before the consoles official release, March 25th.
“The campaign is a celebration of the 3D experience.
“There are two key elements: experiential and advertising. What will be a departure for us is how we fuse them together, in a way we haven’t done before.
“In the campaign we will be showing consumers, real people, getting their first hands-on with 3DS at one of the events. And that in turn drives the people who see the ads to the sampling push. It’s a virtuous circle.
“It’s very fresh and different – and very, Nintendo, because it’s all about genuine reactions, there is nothing fake or over-stated, it’s all real.”
“There’s always a question about how you execute a 3D product in 2D. That’s where the consumer reactions come into play. It’s not about the intricacies of the technology. The fact you can’t see it on screen will tease and push people to trying it for themselves.”
– Nintendo UK marketing director Dawn Paine

I ain’t seen a advertisement yet. Poor advertising marketing in the United Kingdom. Only games get the biggest campaign for example COD:Black OPS or Kirby’s:Epic Yarn.
I’ve seen some adverts. :)
I haven’t seen any adverts, but then I watch very litle t.v.! Too busy playing games instead.
Never seen one either
I’ve seen the advert quite a few times. But I’ve seen the Pokemon Black/White adverts wayyy more times, and only seen the Kirby advert once. Only ever saw the Other M advert once too.
Saw no ads. But plenty of pre-order stuff in stores like Morrisons, Asda etc.
Only saw one place doing a ‘try it’ too. Gamestation in the Galleries Washington. Nowhere else is tho :/
