Nintendo Wii: Wii Vitality Sensor Only Works On 80% Of People Claim Nintendo

Nintendo claim that the Nintendo Wii Vitality Sensor will only work on approximately 80% of people, and that it’s difficult to get it to work for 99% of people.

Nintendo have reconfirmed that the Nintendo Wii Vitality Sensor is in the works but they’re not too sure if everyone will reap its benefits, which is presumably the reason why we haven’t heard so much about it lately. Hopefully we will be given more information on the device at this E3 along with some exemplary software to début along with it.

  1. Cool. Except for the part where I can’t think of a single time in any video game where this would be useful.

  2. Jared: Action and horror games. Think of mali occuring when you are nervous / scared. For example a blurred vision, a shaky hand or for example creepy nightmares in silent hill.
Would also work with Mario Kart. An item mode, where your heart-rate decides which weapon comes out of boxes for you.
Immagine a racer you are not alowed to use boost, when you are too calm and not thrilled.

I’m personally a quiete emotional and affective gamer and would love to see that integrated in the game itself.

  3. They have been trying to release a vitality sensor since the Nintendo 64 era… I remember it.

They also were trying to release 3D graphics since always, and the 3DS is now a reality.

They’ll eventually make this vitality sensor work. Maybe when the Wii 2 is released… who knows.
