Nintendo Wii 2: Leaked Wii 2 (Project Cafe) Video Was Actually A Student Project

The video that took Youtube by storm depicting a Nintendo employee showing off the features of the Nintendo Wii 2 to developers was actually an extremely successful student project. The students involved with the video were tasked with making a viral video that would generate at least 5,000 views. The video has actually been viewed an incredible 600,000 times since it arrived on Youtube a few days ago. Just goes to show that you can’t believe everything that you see, no matter how convincing it is.

  1. You really thought that was convincing? There were so many red flags in that clip to indicate it was a fake. I never even entertained the thought that it was real for a second. Nintendo doesn’t have leaks like that. They’re not Sony or Microsoft.

  2. Yep, I was not convinced by that video either. Just by the simple fact that the lady pointed at the console and at the screen made it too obvious it was fake. I’m glad cause I was expecting slightly more.

  3. Nice “student” project…make a video to lie to the world.

Why not create a video where little green men land in the farms of NJ….oh someone already thought of that idea!

  4. Obviously fake. People have to be pretty gullible to buy that. Where has this world come to where students are assigned to lie and fool the world?

I kinda guessed it was a fake since the screen was a computer being projected like my math class was

  6. Truly it was a Fake, and so are all of the pics of the so called N.P.C.
Not a single image has leaked so far.
You will know for sure when you see it. Nintendo never has leaks. :-)

  7. I came into this with the approach of “Innocent until proven guilty.”

Well…it’s been proven guilty. So that’s that. Show’s over, folks. Noting to see here.

    1. BTW, I like the fact that it was a student project. Someone put the idea forward, and I hoped that the theory would turn out to be true if it wasn’t a Café presentation.

  10. I had an idea earlier that I thought was interesting. Nintendo said they are going to revolutionize theway people play video games at home. Well what if they found some way to make one console for a whole house. Like at&t’s u-verse. Just an idea I am most likely wrong.
